Nora Favelukes
President of QW Wine Experts
Nora Z. Favelukes entered the wine trade in her native
Argentina
in 1984. Her early professional credits
include the post of Export Director at Bodegas Navarro Correas in Buenos Aires, East Coast Sales Manager for Vinos
Argentinos and National Sales Manager for Billington Distributors in the United States,
where she was responsible for the introduction of Bodegas Catena and, Director
Fine Wines for Palm Bay Imports.
Today, Ms. Favelukes is President of QW Wine Experts,
a consulting firm she launched in 1995, which is dedicated to the nationwide
public relations, marketing and sales of imported fine wines. In addition to representing clients such as
Wines of Argentina, Wines from Brazil
and Carolina Wine Brands, Ms. Favelukes serves as a consultant to a number of
foreign producers and with importing companies in the United States.
She also serves as a sought-after as a hostess to
diverse groups and organizations around the U.S. including: Society of Wine
Educators, American Wine Society, American Institute of Food and Wine, Boston
Wine Expo, Unified Vintners of America, Sommelier Society of America, Santa Fe
Wine & Chile Fiesta, Washington International Wine Festival, Women for
WineSense, Vinitaly 04 and Vinexpo Americas 04.
Ms.
Favelukes holds the Advanced Certificate on Wine Studies issued by the Wine
& Spirit Education Trust, London,
England.
In
2006, she received the “Outstanding Industry Professional Award” by New York
City College of Technology.
In
2007, Ms. Favelukes was inducted as a member of the NY Chapter for Les Dames d’
Escoffier.

Favelukes resides in New York City and travels
extensively on business in the United States,
South America and Europe. Her interests
include the study of oriental spiritual practices.
